Spurs Greek Venture
In the old days all these games were based on knock out over 2 gamed (home and away). Things are different now and from the four teams in each group you have to finish first or second.
As things are right now we need a minimum 1 point i.e. a draw at Asteras Tripoli. A win will put us in a much better position because in December we travel to Beshiktas and that will be the most difficult of our qualifying games. We have Partizan at home later this month and all 3 points should be ours.
I want to remind you all that the 5 – 1 score was a flattering one with Asteras showing some good signs of decent football. They did scare us on several occasions but everything went our way that evening.
The question that faces us is “do we want to stay in this competition “ ? and how far ? not forgetting that the final winner has automatic qualification in the champions League.

Even though Spurs have always been linked to playing attractive football, sometimes it’s about getting the job done even if it is with a bit of luck against the run of play. Think how many times the other “Big 4” manage to get away with it all these years!! Maybe it’s time we have some luck. At the end of the day, no matter what I;m Tottenham Til I Die!! COYS!!!
Well what can I say about last night. Not a lot. The important thing was the win. COYS!!
