An Almost Perfect Summer
With the sale of Gareth Bale, 7 players arrived for a total of just over 100 million. From the 7 players only 2 have managed to cement their
position in the first team. Namely Eriksen and Chadli. A general clearance sale has seen Paulinho, Holtby, Capoue, Kaboul, Stambouli and Chriches
all leave with Soldado to follow sooner than later. Lamela remains the big question mark who will probably have another year to prove his worth.
It’s obvious that Spurs have learnt their lessons from 2013 and have now put things right. It’s been a masterclass in shifting the deadwood.
Poch looks to shore up a leaky defence and has brought in the youngsters Wimmer, Trippier & Alderweireld.
Youth seems to be the name of Pochettino’s plans with Wimmer getting less first team football compared to
Trippier who will be pressing Walker for his position at right back. Alderweireld has premier league experience
Coming from Southampton and will be a regular.
So, so far we have done an excellent job in shifting a lot of deadwood and to have shored up a leaky defence.
The team still needs some improvement in midfield and in attack. There is only 1 month till the summer window closes
And Spurs have been linked up to so many players, one has lost count. So, to make it an almost perfect summer
Let’s get another 2 players, 1 in the midfield and 1 in attack. This would be the least the fans are expecting.
Those supporters who are impatient will be moaning once again if we don’t make it to the Champion League places.
Those who have the virtue of being patient will know that until the stadium is completed Spurs will be the BEST
OF THE REST. I personally foresee a golden season in 2020-2021 when we win the Premier League.
So my dear friends let’s look forward to that season.

I’m all for the win like any other decent Spurs fan, hopefully the players have seen the light and bring on their best game. Only then will we be happy.
